Sometimes you already have a hotspot set up with half the text you want, or a background image you want, and you don't want to go through the process of creating it all again. We feel your pain! So we created the ability to copy and paste a hotspot.

Copying hotspots means copying the styling (font, size, highlight, image etc) and, if you have that hotspot linked to a video, document, or URL, it will copy that associated content as well. It will not copy links to other slides or slideshows.

Here's how you do it.

To copy a hotspot on the same slide:

1. Select the hotspot that you'd like to copy.

2. In the options menu above your showcase, select the small "pages" icon. This is the copy function.

3. After clicking, you'll see that it's created an identical hotspot right on top of the original one. You can now move, resize and edit the new hotspot as you like!

If you've loaded an image into your hotspot, copying a hotspot will also transfer over the image.

To copy a hotspot onto a different slide:

1. Select the hotspot that you'd like to copy.

2. Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+C" (or "Cmd+C" on a Mac). The hotspot will be copied to your clipboard.

3. Navigate to the different slide you want to paste onto.

4. Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+V" (or "Cmd+V" on a Mac). The hotspot will be pasted to this other slide.
