Your device can automatically notify you when updates are available for your showcases. How handy is that?
1. If you are an iOS user, you will be notified of the update by a red circle on the Showcase Workshop launch icon. The red circle will have a number inside it and this number indicates how many updates are available. It looks like this:
2. If you are an Android user, a small monochrome icon will appear in the tray at the top of the screen:
Swipe down the tray to read the notification message. Tada!
3. If you are a Windows tablet user, the number of updates will show in the bottom left corner of the app icon in the start screen.
The Showcase app will only download the updates, rather than the entire showcase.
In addition to these device notifications, a little orange cloud will display below your showcase thumbnails to indicate that updates are available. This is like your app asking for your attention. Hey you! There's new stuff!
You might also receive an email from your Admin to let you know what the specific updates are.
You can still view a showcase while an update is pending. When you're ready to download, tap the little orange cloud and the update will be downloaded. The time taken will vary depending on how much has changed within the showcase since the last update.
